A notebook is a software or application that allows you to write text, computer code and execute it.

Jupyter is an open source web application allowing to program in different computer languages including Python, C, Java, Lua, PHP, R, etc. It is hosted at the university by the GRICAD department.

The writing and execution of code in Jupyter is totally secure and protects the computer used.

To connect to the application, you just have to go to https://jupyterhub.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr and authenticate yourself with your usual UGA login and password.
