Delete cookies and cache in a browser

When you surf the Internet, your browser saves a lot of login information on your hard drive. This information is stored in small files called cookies.
Cookies are small text files that allow websites you visit to record information about your browsing by saving them on your computer. This is useful for remembering some of your preferences (the size of the font with which you want the site to appear, for example) or for identifying yourself again without having to re-enter a password.

As practical as they are intrusive, they can also be the origin of your problems, so it’s quite useful to know how to remove them.

The procedure in the “Download” box can help you to delete cookies on the main Internet browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari on Mac).
