Leaving UGA?

If you do not re-enroll at UGA for the next academic year, your digital account will be automatically closed on December 31 of your last year of administrative enrollment (on 12/31/2021 for the 2020/2021 academic year for example) and you will therefore no longer be able to access your data, which will be destroyed in accordance with the RGPD :

• collaborative workspaces
• online courses
• UGA student institutional messaging system
• personal or shared storage spaces
• finalization of your Digiposte space for your official documents (transcripts...)
• data from online applications (MS Office 365, Teams, Zoom...)
• and all the data associated with the different digital services you have used during your studies at UGA...

If you need to recover data, remember to back it up before you close your account !
 

Are you registering for a thesis at the UGA?

You are currently a student and you are registering for a PhD at UGA for the next academic year: you will keep your UGA digital account but you will lose access to your UGA student institutional email on December 31 of your last year as a student, remember to save your emails if you want to keep an archive!

How to back up your data

Emails

You can recover the data that are on your email, either by transferring your messages, or by creating an archive with the "export" function that you will have to import into a compatible messaging application (preferably Zimbra or for example Thunderbird, Cf Tutorial).

Storage space (Home or shared folders)

You can retrieve data (documents, folders) that are on the personal and shared folders, either via a USB key by connecting to a PC at the university, or by connecting remotely.

Digiposte

You will have lifetime access to Digiposte if you have finalized the creation of your vault and if you have set up a personal email address.

Online courses

You can retrieve the documents that are on the educational platforms by downloading them to your computer.
