Personal PC repair

Service available for students
Print Share
Open to all UGA students, this system aims to help students with technical problems encountered on their own equipment.
The aim is to promote the act of repairing rather than re-purchasing and to raise awareness of the environmental impact of digital technology.

Did you know that? Over the life cycle of a PC, 80% of the environmental impact comes from the manufacturing and transport phases! So, let's extend the life of our PCs as much as possible and opt for a responsible repair!

How it works

The repair is done on the spot (if it is fast to process). Otherwise, a computer is lent for the time of the repair.

The estimate is entirely free, as well as the repair, if the service provider has reconditioned parts. If not, an estimate for the purchase of new parts is proposed, which the student is free to accept or refuse.

Please note that if the student has a PC borrowed from the DVE, the estimate is paid by the UGA.
